How Much Can You Save?
By using our line of Energy Star Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs, you will save up to 75% on your lighting costs. Look at the example below. The top row is a standard, incandescent light bulb. The bottom is a CFL, Compact Fluorescent Light bulb. Both equal the same amount of light, but the Compact Fluorescent Light bulb lasts from 8 to 15 times longer and produces 75% less carbon pollution.

Watt per Bulb Kilowatt Hour (KWH) * Average cost per KWH = Cost per hour
100 1000 * .11 = .011
25 1000 * .11 = .00275

This might not seem like much, but follow along:
Cost per hour Average hours used per day * 1 month (30 days) = Cost per Month
.011 * 5 * 30 = 1.65
.00275 * 5 * 30 = .4125

The difference is $1.2375 for one bulb used only 5 hours. How many hours do you run your lights? How many bulbs do you really have? What if your energy costs are higher? The more Energy Star products you use, the more you save. Don’t you see the need to make changes?

The cost of a Compact Fluorescent Light bulb is on average equal to the cost of the replacement of all incandescent bulbs you will have to buy over its life. For instance, an incandescent bulb may last 1,000 hours, a Compact Fluorescent Light bulb will last 8,000 to 15,000 hours. That means a Compact Fluorescent Light bulb will not have to be replaced for a long time. A 15,000 hour Compact Fluorescent Light bulb used 5 hours a day will not have to be replaced for over 8 years, an 8,000 hour CFL will not have to be replaced for almost 4.5 years.

Today there is enough variety of Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs to satisfy the needs of almost everyone. They are available in “soft white” colors to “daylight”, 3-way, dimmable, small sizes to large, indoor and outdoor flood lights, globes to candles.

The light fixtures hold true to same figures above. Change a 5 light standard incandescent fixture with a 5 light Compact Fluorescent Light bulb, and you just made a 5 bulb difference.

Energy Star ceiling fans move air about 15% more efficiently than a standard ceiling fan, and include Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs, resulting in an estimated savings of $20 to $30 per year.

How Much Can YOU Save? It depends on what you are willing to invest now. Even if you change only one bulb, you have made a difference, you are affecting change, you are looking to the future, you are saving the environment, and it doesn’t hurt to save a little money at the same time.
